PGN CRAB HOUSE
OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND

As we arrived in this family vacation resort for a short stay we were hungry for lunch.  I was shocked at how many crab houses Ocean City has and we decided, for no particular reason, to stop at the PGN Crab House.  Turns out it was a good move.

As usual with crab houses, this place was very short on atmosphere.  And to be honest with you I was a little uncertain about dining here because we were the only ones in the place and it was deep into the lunch hour (12:20pm).  But we were hungry and thirsty and decided to give it a go.

I ordered a dozen steamed clams to begin with and they were the best  I've ever had.  Then came the crabs.  Jumbo Jimmies jam packed with meat.  Outstanding!  Our son-in-law got fried shrimp and he raved about them.  Our daughter got a mixed fried platter and it was great.  My wife got a crab cake sandwich and loved it.  We fed our two delightful little grandkids tidbits of food and they promptly enjoyed it like most kids do.  They heaved it right onto the floor!

Is this the best crab house in Ocean City?  I have no idea.  But I'm sure glad we tried it and the next time we're in town, we'll be back!
