RESTAURANT OF THE WEEK
This restaurant is located inside the Radisson on Palm Beach. As I've mentioned frequently in our reviews, we usually do not usually eat at hotel restaurants. However we heard this place had a pretty decent seafood buffet and after a long day of swimming we were starved so we decided to check it out. Besides, it was just down the street from our hotel, the Wyndham.
We both surveyed the whole spread to decide what we were up against and then sat down to decide how to proceed.
Cold items included various salads, very small peel-and-eat shrimp, fresh oysters, previously frozen New Zealand green lipped mussels and some other items. Hot items included a creamy seafood pasta, stir-fried rice and various veggies. For the main course the chief had a big fish and it was all carved up into chunks. It was billed as grouper but in reality I think it was Chilean sea bass. Above and beyond this offering there was a fresh stir fry station featuring very small scallops, fish, small shrimp and what was billed as "baby lobster" tails. They were not lobster tails but crawfish tails (mid-westerners call them crawdaddies).
The "chef" (he looked more like a young man out of high school) had several Asian sauces to go on top of the stir fry.
There was a decent dessert selection and my wife probably enjoyed that more than anything else.
We were honestly a little bit disappointed. Hopefully, if they still have the nightly seafood buffet here, it will have improved by the time you give it a try.
At the time of the review, the Radisson Hotel site was down. Ditto for the Radisson Aruba site. But if you want to give it a try now, here it is.
