DIRTY DICK'S
EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

I stumbled upon this place during a leisurely stroll around this beautiful city.  The name obviously was funny so I popped in for a pint.

The place was packed with "regulars" and while the food looked good, I was "saving myself" for a fresh fish dinner that evening.

As I sipped my pint I saw two familiar faces cruise by outside--my daughter and her husband.  I dashed out into the street, chased them down, and lured them inside for a couple of pints.

We had a good time. While we didn't personally sample the food, other diners seemed to be enjoying their selections and it looked quite good.

If nothing else, step inside for a pint and strike up a conversation with the friendly publicans who are taking care of you.

As we found on a later visit to Edinburgh, Dirty Dick's has two cousin restaurants.  Clever Dick's is located just down the street from the castle.  And the third in the chain is the Bad Ass.  Information and directions to each can be found at their web site here.
