The New Orleans and Gulf coastal regions in Mississippi and Alabama will need lots of help rebuilding in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  Hurricane Rita also did a lot of damage along the coast near the Texas - Louisiana border.  You can feel confident about donating to the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
