Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini - The International Airport
This is the old, drab side (arrivals). |

Same Airport
New side of terminal (departures). |

Check out the tank in the trunk (yellow with jacket).
Taxis here run on compressed natural gas. Much cheaper than gas. |

Yes, that is an old Ford Falcon! This vehicle was popular in
the U.S. in the 60s and was built in B.A. into the 80s. They still love 'em! |

A little more rustic vehicle. You see these from time to time.

Plenty of these still running around B.A., too. |

The bus is the favorite way to travel here although they do have a subway. |

Note the "tube" leading to the wheel hub. That's an air tube to make
sure the tires are properly inflated. It's unique to B.A. & most
busses have them.

Familiar logos. We saw mainly U.S. products from Chrysler in B.A. |

Entrance / Exit from their subway "Subte."

Thousands of these little black and yellow taxis ply the streets. |

Aeroparque Jorge Newbery - the "close in" airport in B.A. serving domestic
and a few international routes like Uruguay. |

B.A.'s favorite ice cream store - they're everywhere! |

They have their fare share of these, too. |

They've got one of these. |

And hundreds of these - local places displaying fresh meat ready for the
parrilla - grill.
That really was a tiny little suckling piggy. |

Lots of trees in B.A. including many, many palm trees. |

They love their statues in Buenos Aires. |

The Israeli Embassy was destroyed in a terrorist attack in 1990. This
is a memorial to the more than 20 who died. A tree has been planted
for each person lost in the attack. |
